Faye Gibbons

The Pucketts love music. Everyone in the family plays an instrument and sings--everyone except Emma Jo. Then comes the day of the big Puckett family reunion, and the sound of fiddles and banjos fills the air. Emma Jo's brother suggests that she get up and sing "This Little Light of Mine." Before he gets a chance to tease her, Emma Jo jumps out of her seat and faces a house full of Pucketts. She opens her mouth--and lets out a quivering squeak. But all ends triumphantly when Emma Jo gets a little help from a friend.

"A pleasant slice of life story that will work equally well in a group or one-on-one setting." BOOKLIST
